IPL 2024 MS Dhoni Comes Back !
In IPL 2024 MS Dhoni will be back as the captain of the champions Chennai Super Kings when the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League commences, the club announced in a tweet on Sunday. this Sunday.
Dhoni who has steered this team to five IPL championships in 2010 2011 and 2018, 2021 and 2023, was uncertain about whether he would like to be a part of the next edition of the lucrative league.
“If you think about it, this is the perfect moment to declare my retirement. However, with the amount of affection and love I have received wherever I went during the year, an simplest choice would be to say “Thank you so much,” but the tough part for me is to put in to the max for the next nine months before I can return to play one more season in the IPL. It all depends on my body. I’ll have to wait about 6-7 months to choose. It’s more of an offer from me and it’s not an easy task to me but it’s an opportunity to give. In the way they’ve shown their affection and love I believe this is something I must show the people they love,” he had said when quizzed on his next move plans in the league in the final ceremony to be presented last season.
Rehabilitation :
Dhoni has suffered a knee operation in June of this year. The player is currently recovering and should be fit for play in time for IPL 2024.
He’s doing great now. He is rehabilitating. He has started to work on the treadmill. In about 10 days, he’ll begin working in nets as well,” said Viswanathan.
He had also mentioned a possibility of a return held in Bengaluru in October, when he stated, “Knee has survived the operation. While going through the rehabilitation area, a doctor assured me that I would feel better by the time November rolls around. However, there’s no issue in your daily activities.””
But the former Indian captain of the Indian cricket team was listed in the retained list that was submitted by the franchise, which proved his involvement. Viswanathan declared that Dhoni will not renege on his promises and that he is now fit after the procedure and will lead the champions of five times once more.
“If our leader has not spoken an answer, he’s never returned. He was already clear about the details of what he planned to do in the interview. I am sure, knowing MS He will follow through with what he’s promised to accomplish. He is quite fit. Thalaivan can be described as thalaivan (our Leader is the one who leads us),” said Viswanthan in a video released by CSK.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan Says –
Prior to that, India batter Rinku Singh was adamant about the former legendary captain MS Dhoni for aiding him in tense situations, which was evident in his performance in the T20I’s first game in the first T20I against Australia Visakhapatnam.
Rinku was the finisher on Thursday, scoring winners in the last over, and giving India the victory by two wickets.
“As for my key to peace, I’ve had talks in the presence of Mahi (Dhoni) Bhai on how he stays cool, especially during the final over,” Rinku was quoted as saying in an BCCI video that was released following Thursday’s victory.
“He (Dhoni) advised me to keep as calm as I could and keep a straight face (at the player). That’s the way I managed to remain at peace during the match,” He said however, he didn’t specify when his discussions with Dhoni occurred.
To keep the Indian Premier League (IPL) title, CSK did some exceptional business during the Players Auction in Dubai on the 19th of December. The MS Dhoni-led team roped in six players including New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell as the most expensive purchase valued at 14 crore. Five-time champions CSK stunned the world by purchasing an uncapped Indian batsman Sameer Rizvi for 8.4 crore. CSK has resigned India All-rounder Shardul Thakur, after his release from KKR.
