According to sources with knowledge of the matter, the Delhi Capitals owner is trying to raise between $100 million and $90 million through private credit loans before ipl 2024
JSW GMR would become the latest business operating in sports to seek funding through private credit. Ares Management Corporation contributed 500 million pounds to Chelsea Football Club, according to a Bloomerg report released in September.
People familiar with the situation who declined to be identified due to confidentiality reasons reported that JSW GMR Cricket Pvt. Ltd., the company managing the club, would use the funds for general corporate goals. Their owners have provided information indicating that Delhi Capitals will provide loan funding in exchange for broadcast rights and sponsorship contributions.
JSW GMR may become the latest business within sports to take advantage of personal credit as a form of financing aid.
Ares Management Corp. recently provided Chelsea FC with an offer of 600 million pounds from Ares Capitals Management Corp. This Delhi franchise was previously known as the Delhi Daredevils, but prior to the 2019 season, they changed their name to the Delhi Capitals.
As of today, the team still possesses 28.29 crore.
